David Ranzenhofer Elevated to Partner and Geoffrey Cajigas and Anil Vassanji Promoted to Counsel

Friedman Kaplan is proud to announce that David J. Ranzenhofer has become a partner of the firm and that Geoffrey Cajigas and Anil K. David Ranzenhofer (Partner) represents major public and private companies as well as individuals in the financial services and other industries in connection with complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts and in arbitration, as well as in connection with government and internal investigations and white collar matters. His civil practice includes all types of commercial disputes, including contract, fraud, intellectual property, securities, breach of fiduciary duty, employment, and related matters. He joined Friedman Kaplan in 2016 after practicing with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Dave is a graduate of Stanford Law School and received his undergraduate degree summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University.

Geoffrey Cajigas (Counsel) focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation. He represents a wide array of clients in the financial services and technology industries in contract, securities, tortious interference, trade secret, and other disputes. Geoff also represents clients in connection with federal and state regulatory and white collar matters. Prior to joining Friedman Kaplan in 2018, Geoff practiced in the litigation department of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. He is a graduate of Columbia Law School and earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University.

Anil Vassanji (Counsel) represents corporations and individuals in the financial services, real estate, and other industries in connection with a wide variety of complex commercial disputes, appeals, and in white collar criminal defense matters. Anil also has a substantial pro bono practice and serves as co-lead attorney in coordinating and strengthening the firm's overall pro bono efforts. Additionally, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the New York Civil Liberties Union as Treasurer, the Project Development Committee of the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance, Legal Services Corporation's Emerging Leaders Council, and Law360’s Access to Justice Editorial Advisory Board. Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Anil was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. He graduated from Columbia Law School, earned an LL.M. from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and received his B.A. from Columbia University.
