Beaumont Discusses LIBOR Transition in ACA Insight

ACA Insight
February 25, 2019

Friedman Kaplan litigation partner Anne Beaumont was quoted extensively in ACA Compliance Group's February 25, 2019 issue of ACA Insight in an article on investment advisory firms' need to prepare for the coming transition away from the LIBOR interest rate benchmark.

In the article, Ms. Beaumont notes: "It’s everywhere.  It’s in securitizations, it’s in derivatives contracts, it’s in residential mortgages. Portfolios are infested with LIBOR."  She goes on to point out that open questions remain about how a replacement will be incorporated and how the act of replacement will affect market participants.  She discusses some of the reasons for the planned transition, possible replacements, and immediate steps for advisors looking to prepare for the transition.
