Friedman Kaplan is pleased to announce that Joel I. Frank has joined our partnership.  Mr. Frank will be a partner in our corporate department and will focus on securities matters.

Mr. Frank joins the firm from Wilk Auslander LLP, where he was a partner.  He has a broad-ranging transactional practice with an extensive background in securities, acquisitions, finance, complex commercial agreements, intellectual property, employment, and regulatory matters.  His prior work includes representing issuers and underwriters in initial and secondary public offerings of securities, issuers in private offerings of securities, buyers and sellers in stock and asset acquisitions, and many other matters.

Prior to his time at Wilk Auslander LLP, Mr. Frank practiced at Hartman and Craven LLP.  Prior to this, he served as General Counsel for Viatel, Inc. and Telerate, Inc.

"Joel has broad experience in securities and general corporate matters, and will be a tremendous addition to our firm," said corporate partner Michael Gordon.  "Several of us have had the pleasure of knowing him over the years, and we are all looking forward to working with him here at Friedman Kaplan."
