Jared Lenow Chairs PLI Program on Crypto Asset Seizures
Jared Lenow chaired a Practising Law Institute (PLI) program on crypto asset seizures. During the program, Jared and the panelists analyzed how government crypto seizures affect virtual asset service providers (such as exchanges, token issuers, and custodians), victims of crypto fraud schemes, and other digital asset holders. They discussed a number of trends relating to crypto seizures, including a recent increase in government enforcement actions, the rise of public-private partnerships to combat illicit schemes, and how private litigants are using temporary restraining orders to freeze assets, such that “seizure” style actions are not limited to law enforcement.
Panelists included Ari Redbord, Global Head of Policy and Government Affairs at TRM Labs, Katherine Reilly, a partner at Pryor Cashman, and Noah Solowiejczyk, a partner at Fenwick & West.
