On July 12 and 19, FK partner Scott Berman spoke at the Continuing Legal Education Institute's seminar Winning Cases in Federal Court. The event, which was co-sponsored by NYCLA’s Federal Courts Committee and Chaired by Joel M. Silverstein of Stern & Kilcullen, LLC and The Honorable Sidney Stein of the Southern District of New York,  covered everything attorneys need to know to practice in federal court.

Over the course of the two evenings, a panel of expert litigators explored the latest issues involved in federal court practice, along with commentary on the first night by Judge Stein, who provided his insights with a "View from the Bench" after each topic was introduced and discussed.

The first evening of the program concentrated on trial while the second focused on discovery, depositions, and experts.

In addition to Mr. Silverstein and Judge Stein, Mr. Berman was joined by co-faculty Arthus Aufses of Kramer Levin; Susan Buckle of Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP;  Vincent Chang of Wollmuth Maher & Deutsch LLP; Charles Cohen of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP; Stephen Hoffman of Hoffman & Kessler; Gregg Kanter of Gregg H. Kanter Law Office LLC; Adrienne Koch of Katsky Korins LLP; Ben Rubinowitz of Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf; and Richard Williamson of Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP.
