Rahul Agarwal Speaks at AABANY 2025 Fall Conference

Friedman Kaplan partner Rahul Agarwal spoke on a panel at the 2025 Fall Conference of the Asian American Bar Association of New York. The panel, titled, “Working with Cooperators and Whistleblowers Across Cultures and Systems” explored how in-house and defense counsel can earn and manage trust from cooperators and whistleblowers during criminal and internal investigations. The panel discussed how attorneys can navigate privilege and confidentiality boundaries, prepare and protect whistleblowers from retaliation, engage cooperators from cultures where “snitching” carries stigma, and handle situations involving immigrant witnesses and language barriers.

Rahul was joined on the panel by Elizabeth Mo of The Law Firm of Hugh H. Mo, PC, Yi Lu of the Labor and Employment Division, New York City Law Department, Anden Chow of MoloLamken LLP, Michael Ramos of Nardello & Co, and Li Yu of Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP. The panel was moderated by Pei Pei Cheng de Castro of Barclay Damon LLP.
