Edward Friedman Speaks on Depositions at NYSBA Federal Practice Conference

Friedman Kaplan litigation partner Edward A. Friedman spoke at a conference titled "Basic Federal Civil Practice," which was hosted by the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association. Topics discussed at the conference included the differences between civil practice in state and federal court, recent developments in discovery of electronically stored information, best practices for litigating civil matters in federal court, and federal judges' perspectives on effective practice techniques. Mr. Friedman participated in a panel discussion on depositions that discussed witness preparation, witness examinations, and expert depositions.

The conference was held in New York City on December 5, 2013, at the Radisson Martinique on Broadway. Mr. Friedman's panel was at 2:10 p.m. Additional sessions with different faculty were held in Long Island, Albany and Rochester on November 13, November 14 and December 5, 2013, respectively.
