Rupita Chakraborty
Rupita Chakraborty's practice focuses on white collar defense and complex commercial litigation. She is a founding member of the firm's Women's Initiative Committee.
Rupita joined Friedman Kaplan from Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, where she focused on complex commercial and investigatory matters and enjoyed a robust pro bono practice. She previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nina Gershon of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. While pursuing her law degree, she participated in the Federal Defenders Clinic Program at New York University School of Law. Rupita is a Fulbright recipient, serving as an English Teaching Assistant in Indonesia after college.
Outside the Office
Rupita is a member of the Women's White Collar Defense Association. In 2023, she was selected to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity's Pathfinders program.
