Norman Alpert's practice includes acquisitions and divestitures, public and private equity and debt offerings (including initial public offerings and high-yield bond offerings), bank financings, joint ventures, and venture capital and other commercial transactions. He has represented public companies and individuals in their federal securities law reporting and compliance matters. In his more than 40 years of practice, he has advised companies in the telecommunications, biotechnology, semiconductor equipment, medical equipment, specialty chemicals, retail, and consumer products industries, as well as private equity funds.
Prior to joining Friedman Kaplan, Mr. Alpert practiced at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, where he was of counsel, and at Rubin Baum Levin Constant & Friedman, where he was a partner.
