Hunter Mims joined Friedman Kaplan in May 2019 to focus on complex commercial litigation and white collar matters.
Representative Matters
- Representation of a co-owner and co-managing member of a real estate management company, which oversees a portfolio of affiliated properties in the New York metropolitan area, in various matters, including an AAA arbitration arising out of a “business divorce” between he and his partner and various other discovery disputes.
- Representation of an individual in the insurance industry on an appeal regarding claims for breach of fiduciary duty .
- Representation of an individual on an appeal regarding claims for breach of contract from a partnership dispute.
Prior to joining Friedman Kaplan, Mr. Mims was an associate at Davis Polk LLP, where he represented clients in complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, and in regulatory enforcement proceedings and government investigations. Prior to his time at Davis Polk, Mr. Mims served as a legal intern to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary.
