ALLTEL Buys Out Wireless Partnerships in North and South Carolina
FKSA advised ALLTEL Corporation (NYSE: AT) in connection with its purchase from Palmetto MobileNet, L.P. of wireless partnerships that cover approximately two million customers in North Carolina and South Carolina. ALLTEL already managed and owned 50 percent of each of the 10 partnerships and has purchased the remaining interests from Palmetto. FKSA partners Barry A. Adelman and Matthew S. Haiken advised ALLTEL in connection with the transaction. ALLTEL is owner and operator of the nation's largest wireless network and has more than 10 million wireless customers in 34 states. ALLTEL provides wireless and wireline local, long-distance, network access and Internet services. |
