Partners Address Programs on Derivatives, White-Collar Crime, Securities Litigation

Three Friedman Kaplan partners made presentations at programs on derivatives, white-collar crime, and securities litigation.

Eric Seiler spoke on "Derivative Sales to Funds and Resulting Litigation" at Fordham University School of Law's annual International Symposium on Derivatives and Risk Management, held at Fordham Law School in New York City on February 24-25, 2000.

Paul J. Fishman was the moderator of a panel discussion on March 3, 2000 on obstruction of justice at the American Bar Association's White Collar Crime Institute. The panel, entitled "Obstruction of Justice: New Trends and New Dangers" explored a variety of issues, including steps that attorneys can take to insure that they do not engage in conduct that might itself be viewed as inappropriate. Mr. Fishman, who is a former Vice Chair of the ABA's White Collar Crime Committee, has frequently spoken at the White Collar Crime Institute.

Robert J. Lack spoke on "How to Use Effective Discovery Techniques" at a seminar on Fundamental Strategies in Securities Litigation sponsored by the New York State Bar Association, held at the New York Marriott-East Side in New York City on April 7, 2000.
