At the Madoff & Ponzi Scheme Litigation Conference in New York City on June 3, 2009, FKSA partner Scott M. Berman participated in a session titled "Indirect Investor Litigation," which focused on remedies available to defrauded investors and the challenges associated with such claims. The issues Mr. Berman covered included the types of investors who potentially have claims, potential defendants, and jurisdictional matters.

The conference was presented by HB Litigation Conferences (formerly Mealey's Litigation Conferences), and dealt with a variety of litigation issues relating to the fraud by Bernard L. Madoff as well as other recent fraud cases involving alleged Ponzi schemes.
