On March 18, 2008, FKSA partner Scott M. Berman will present a session titled "The Good, the Bad and the Downright Ugly: A Detailed Look at Real Life Valuation Case Studies" at the Compliance & Operational Best Practices for Hard-to-Value Securities and Portfolios conference. Mr. Berman's presentation will focus on the litigation surrounding such renowned hedge-fund blowups as Granite, Beacon Hill, Lancer, Lipper, and Bear Stearns. The presentation will focus not only on the hedge funds themselves, but on the roles that auditors, administrators, prime brokers, and accountants played in these funds' demises.

The conference, hosted by Financial Research Associates and the Hedge Fund Business Operations Association, will take place on March 17 and 18, 2008 at the Harvard Club in New York City.
