Friedman Kaplan Represents Gordian Group in Allied Capital Investment July 1, 2002 -- Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman LLP represented Gordian Group, LLC, a leading national provider of investment banking and financial advisory services, in connection with a strategic investment made in Gordian by Allied Capital Corporation (NYSE: ALD). Allied Capital's investment in Gordian consists of $8 million of capital at closing, together with additional future performance-based consideration. FKS&A partner Gary D. Friedman and associates Sneha Devadason, David I. Tanenbaum, and Jeffrey H. Wechselblatt worked on the transaction. Gordian is a financial services firm based in New York City with a national practice of providing investment banking and financial advisory services in complex and/or distressed situations. Gordian has been involved in more than 100 engagements during its 13-year history. Its four managing directors have more than 90 years of financial and related experience, and have been involved in some of the largest transactions in North America and abroad. Representative assignments have included engagements in respect of Ben & Jerry's, AmeriServe, London Fog, LTV Corporation, Pinnacle Towers, and the Federal Communications Commission.
