FKSA won a recent arbitration proceeding on behalf of MTI Machine Vision, L.L.C., a Rhode Island software company known for its semiconductor wafer-reading algorithms. The dispute followed DVT Corporation's purchase of MTI's assets in July 2004. A year later, DVT refused to make the payment required under the parties' earnout agreement, and MTI, represented by FKSA, commenced an arbitration before the American Arbitration Association in Atlanta, Georgia. Following a four-day hearing, a three-person panel awarded MTI more than $1.6 million.
