Berman to Speak on Federal Practice

FKSA partner Scott M. Berman will participate in a CLE program titled "Winning Cases in Federal Court" sponsored by the New York County Lawyers' Association ("NYCLA"). The two-part program will explore the latest developments in federal civil practice and discuss successful techniques in federal-court litigation. It will cover strategic issues to consider in commencing an action and responding to a complaint; discovery methods and motions; preparation for, taking, and defending depositions; winning a civil trial in federal court; post-trial procedure; and enforcement of judgments. The program will be co-chaired by The Honorable Paul A. Crotty of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and Joel Silverstein of Stern & Kilcullen LLC. The program will be held in two parts on June 30 and July 7, 2010, from 6 to 9 p.m. at NYCLA on 14 Vesey Street in New York City. Mr. Berman's presentation will be on July 7 and will focus on non-party discovery.
