Berman to Speak on "Avoiding Litigation in a Post-Madoff World"

On July 20, 2010, FKSA partner Scott M. Berman will speak at the Hedge Fund Accounting, Auditing, and Administration Forum, on a panel titled "Avoiding Litigation in a Post-Madoff World." The panel will discuss the kinds of hedge-fund activities that increase the probability of a lawsuit, whether certain types of investors are more likely to sue, the use of special purpose vehicles to house illiquid positions, tips for a transparent portfolio, as well as indemnification and insurance issues. The other members of the panel are Anthony L. Paccione of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, and Mark J. Hyland of Seward & Kissel LLP.

The Forum will take place July 19-20, 2010 at the Princeton Club, 15 West 43rd Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues) in New York City. The Forum is sponsored by Financial Research Associates and the Hedge Fund Business Operations Association.
