William Weintraub Joins FKSA to Launch Financial Restructuring & Insolvency Department William P. Weintraub has joined FKSA as a partner and will lead the firm's new Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Department. Mr. Weintraub has represented debtors, major creditors, creditors' committees, official bondholders' committees, plan sponsors, and acquirers in diverse industries in bankruptcy, insolvency, restructuring, and reorganization matters. Mr. Weintraub's expertise and renown will complement and enhance the firm's existing litigation and corporate practices (both of which include matters relating to bankruptcy and restructuring) and allow the firm to serve its clients in an increasingly important area of the law. Mr. Weintraub graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany in 1975, and received his law degree from the University of Michigan in 1979. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, a member of the Committee on Business Bankruptcy of the American Bar Association Section of Business Law, and a member of the Business Reorganization and Uniform Commercial Code Committees of the American Bankruptcy Institute. Mr. Weintraub, who is also admitted in California, is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California and a former chair, vice-chair, and secretary of that Section's Debtor-Creditor Relations and Bankruptcy Committee. A respected author, he has contributed to Norton Bankruptcy Law and Practice, and frequently lectures on advanced bankruptcy topics. He was formerly a partner in Pachulski Stang Ziehl Young Jones & Weintraub LLP. |
