Berman Speaks at Infovest21, NYCLA, and New York City Bar Programs

On May 16, 2007, FKSA partner Scott M. Berman spoke at Infovest21's Morning Investor Seminar titled "Hotel California: Investors Can Get In But Can't Get Out." The seminar, which was held at the Princeton Club in New York City, focused on the recent bankruptcy court decision involving the Bayou hedge fund, which collapsed in 2005. The court held that the fund's trustee could sue investors that redeemed prior to the fund's collapse, unless the redeeming investors could show that they redeemed in good faith.

In May, Mr. Berman was a faculty member of the New York County Lawyers' Association ("NYCLA") CLE Institute program titled "Winning Cases in Federal Court." Mr. Berman spoke about commencing an action in federal court.

On June 7, Mr. Berman spoke at a New York City Bar CLE program titled "Current Issues in D&O Liability & Insurance." Mr. Berman spoke about accessing D&O policy proceeds from the perspective of a plaintiff's attorney. The program was co-sponsored with the Insurance Federation of New York, Inc.
