Robert S. Landy's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, arbitration, and internal investigations. His recent matters include the following:

• Litigation of claims against the Lancer hedge funds' auditor, administrators, directors, and prime broker on behalf of more than ninety major institutional investors, funds of funds, pension funds, and individuals that lost more than $580 million in the funds' collapse;

• Representation of prominent New York real estate developers in foreclosure action and litigation of lender liability claims;

• Representation of a major pharmaceutical company in commercial dispute with an indirect distributor involving a voluntary product recall; and

• Representation of a group of individual investors in a private equity venture in action for breach of fiduciary against institutional investors.

Mr. Landy graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1998. In 2004, he graduated magna cum laude from New York University School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as a Staff Editor of the Journal of International Law & Politics. Mr. Landy served in Uzgen, Kyrgyzstan as a volunteer in the United States Peace Corps, and he previously practiced at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Mr. Landy is member of the New York City Bar, and has served on its New York City Affairs Committee.
