Lisa Mahowald Galalis graduated cum laude from Harvard-Radcliffe College in 1997 with a B.A. in earth and planetary science. In 2001, she earned her J.D. degree magna cum laude from New York University School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and was named a Pomeroy Scholar, an award given to the top ten students in the first-year class.
From 2006 to 2012, Ms. Galalis served as principal law clerk to the Honorable Bernard J. Fried of the Supreme Court of the State of New York. She previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Maryanne Trump Barry of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the Honorable Berle M. Schiller of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She also has taught legal research and writing to first-year law students and L.L.M. candidates at Fordham Law School and Seton Hall University School of Law.
