Jessica Richman Smith graduated summa cum laude in 2001 with a B.A. from Harvard College, where she received the John Harvard and Elizabeth Cary Agassiz Scholarships for academic excellence. In 2005, she received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she served as an Articles Editor of the Harvard Law School Journal on Legislation. She was also a recipient of the 2006 Legal Aid Society Pro Bono Award for outstanding service.
